These adorable angel ornaments are made from recycled soda cans iby a group of Zulu school children as an extra curricular activity. These teenage students live in an area of Northern Zululand, South Africa where the AIDS epidemic is very high, and are themselves orphans who have been left destitute. They measure 3.75" tall.
Your individual contribution in purchasing an Angel will impact directly on the students assisting them to feed, clothe and educate themselves, and at the same time giving them a sense of pride and selfworth. It is hoped that, in a small way, this project will empower the youths with an entrpreneurial spirit, and to know that their future lies in their own hands.
"Angels agains crime" mission statement:
to promote peace and goodwill, create awareness and reduce crime by supporting education, training and skills development projects that create sustainable income generation and improved standards of living for the yout of South Africa.
